DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
We are committed to providing an environment which promotes innovation and creativity through a diverse and inclusive talent pool. Delivering our services through a diverse workforce is important to us as different demographics brings different perspectives which provide invaluable insight to complex challenges faced on and off-site on a daily basis. Our Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan provide a framework which articulates our long-term targets for secure employment opportunities provided to those with disabilities, culturally diverse backgrounds, Indigenous, mature age, gender diversity and those who have been prone to long term unemployment.
WB Infrastructure is committed to improving Indigenous enrolment and progression rates across all levels of the business and encourages post-trade development at the completion of the apprenticeship or traineeship. We recognise that Indigenous Australians are statistically amongst the most disadvantaged groups in Australia. This includes employment. Improved labor market participation is central to achieving positive outcomes for individuals and their families in terms of social and economic engagement. In conjunction with our Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan, our Indigenous Employment Policy has been created to deliver our commitment of reconciliation between Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.
